From the First Tooth provides technical assistance to primary care practices. Two toolkits are available below. The first toolkit “FTFT in Primary Care Toolkit” provides detailed information on how to integrate oral health screenings, fluoride varnish, parent and caregiver education, and dental referrals into the well child visit. The second toolkit, “Silver Diamine Fluoride Toolkit” provides details on integrating silver diamine fluoride into primary care for pediatrics patients.

Spruce the Dental Health Moose Toolkit
Spruce the Dental Health Moose (originally introduced as Bruce by the Maine CDC in the 1980s) began as a campaign to promote healthy oral care habits for children. In May 2023, Spruce was relaunched by From the First Tooth in response to pediatric providers' concerns about many families lacking the basic tools needed to establish healthy oral care routines at home.
