How to find a dentist

Experts recommend that children see a dentist by their first birthday. Please see below for a list of suggested ways to find a dentist:

• Ask your child’s medical doctor
• Ask friends and family
• Ask your own dentist if he/she will see your young child for a dental checkup
• Call your insurance company for recommendations
• Call MaineCare: (800) 977-6740 (select 1 (for English), select 0, and then select 2)
