Preventative Care – Results in Early Detection
Many diseases can be prevented with early detection and care. Importance of early childhood oral health prevention: dental caries (also know as cavities) is preventable and with appropriate early intervention and ongoing management, can be reversed. Preventive measures such as fluoride can prevent tooth decay. Fluoride reduces the ability of the bacteria to produce acid and promotes the remineralization of enamel, preventing a cavity from continuing to form.
