Physicians preparing for recertification of the MOC Part IV can select pediatric oral health as their focus area for their office-based quality improvement project.
It is designed so that physicians can demonstrate to patients, colleagues and health care organizations ongoing professional development that results in quality patient care. MOC consists of four primary parts: professional standing, lifelong learning and self-assessment, cognitive expertise, and performance in practice.
- Oral Health in Primary Care for Pediatricians
- Guideline to help implement the MOC using the Academy of Pediatrics Model
- Physician consultation with Dr. Hugh Silk (for pediatricians and family physicians): Hugh.Silk@umassmed.edu
- Meeting MOC IV Requirements with Pediatric Oral Health-A webinar and slides that explain how oral health was used to meet AAP and AAFP requirements for MOC Part IV Quality Improvement
